[He was going to use them all the time, definitely. Bulba briefly leaned over, boldly giving the other Venusaur a quick, friendly nuzzle to highlight just how much he was tickled.]

I know. I just, uh, saw it in a broken store window an' I thought it'd suit you.

[Bulba actually did not notice. He was just glad he hadn't shied away or anything like that. (Which was probably a silly worry to have, but a small one he had nonetheless.) Though he was turning a little pink himself.]

Well. Thanks for thinking of me, I guess. [While he was probably busy, no less. Bulba held the articles a bit closer in his arms, probably a little more pleased than he should have been.]

Oh, uh, how has the clean up been going...?

[Vinnie huffed, like it was a breath he'd been holding in for days. What a mess the city was. It'd been weeks but there were still streets to clean up.]

Going for-fuckin'-ever. There's always another street with smashed up cars or piles of rubble. I swear some've it isn't even from the day've the big fight - the robots were running the city for so long, no one could get anythin' fixed.

Ugh... Gross. They really had a run of the place, didn't they. [Sigh.]

Hey, it's a job... and a military operation, technically. You can ask Max t'see if he'd be okay with it, but it's not quite like volunteering or football. He works a tight shift when it's army business.

If it helps things get back to normal quicker... Hmm. [Though he still hadn't really talked with Max much anymore, and that still bummed him out a bit.] I'll look into it.

... Is it okay that I asked you out here, though? If you need to go get some sleep, I wouldn't want to keep you for too long.

Eh, it'll be fine. [At least, he assumed. He wasn't actually sure how late Bulba was planning on keeping him out here. Actually, he wasn't sure what this meeting was about at all.]

[He grinned a bit.] That's the right question. [Then he was flopping back down on the grass on his back, reaching over to pat it with his hand.]

It's better if you come down here. Do you know what tonight is?

Vinnie looked both confused and worried that he'd forgotten something super important.]

Uh... is it... um. Your first complete day of being... 18?

Uh... Yes? I guess. [He laughed a little.] Don't look so worried about it.

[The shiny Venusaur reached out his patting hand to tug Vinnie back against the grass instead of waiting for him.] C'mere.

It's a meteor shower tonight.

Huh? [There he goes, being tugged. His back fell against the grass and Vinnie looked up - his eyes widened with wonder almost immediately.]

[There went a convenient and sparkly streak against the sky- whoosh. Bulba glanced over at him just a little, grinning wide.]

It's really pretty. I thought maybe you'd like to catch a bit of it.

[Oh gosh ohhhh gosh. Look at the lights fall from the sky. They sparkled like diamond dust aw wow.]

It's amazing! How'd you know this was gonna happen tonight?

[Oh no look how cute and excited he was getting NO WAIT uh look how pretty all the stars were.]

Kind of on accident...! It was on a calendar but I wasn't sure how clear tonight was supposed to be. I'm really glad it's such a nice night.

Yeah, 'specially since fall's here now. The nice weather's already goin'.

Hey, it's not that long 'til there'll be Diamond Dust at Mt. Silver, too!

[Bulba blinked and rolled his head over to look at him.]

It's beautiful, you should see it sometime! They only come a few days a year.

...Which is not me trickin' you into visiting an ice mountain solely t'freeze your flower off.
