Even if his tears were dwindling, there was nothing wrong with their presence in the first place. There was no law that dictated that one could only cry when their was grief in their heart. There were many reasons one could cry, and each was just as valid as the last. Joy, relief... simply crying when there was no other way to try and show these things.
